Welcome me to your humble Android Abode...
I own a rooted HTC EVO 3D (thank you to Android Forums, and Revolutionary I/O), a rooted HTC EVO 4G, and, my girlfriend has a Samsung Prevail - and, she wants root (no double-entendres, please). I've tried several locations (YouTube, et al) to find out how to root a Samsung Prevail running 2.3.6. Is it possible? It seems that 2.3.5 is the last Gingerbread version supported within all that I've looked at. I'm very familiar with Android nomenclature, and, through this, I introduce myself to Android Central Forums, and, its community.

Is there anyone out there who can assist me in creating/installing root/superuser/busybox within a Boost Mobile Samsung Galaxy Prevail? I have tried other forums, and, there doesn't seem to be any information for that particular device... I'm hoping that it is still possible to make this happen. Thanks.
