Newbie to rooting.....
Ok, get ready to roll eyes, I'm sure everyone else already knows this. I've been using Android for nearly 3 years and I've just upgraded my phone. I want to try rooting my old phone, a Motorola Cliq/Quench. I only have the one sim card, the one in my new Note II. Does rooting a phone do anything to the sim itself? After rooting the Motorola will it be ok to put it back in my new precious????

Re: Newbie to rooting.....
Hello.
To my knowledge it doesn't affect the SIM card. It's an " internal system location" that is changed/altered to provide root access and not anything on your SIM card or external storage cards.
I have never heard of anyone saying their SIM card wouldn't or couldn't work any more due to rooting.

Re: Newbie to rooting.....
Rooting is nothing to do with the SIM card. rooting is just unlocking your phone's system features for you to be able to customize it as an administrator and not as a user!
