    Default Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0

    Hi a couple weeks ago i wanted to update my Tablet so i looked up on youtube how to update form P1000 to gingerbread i followed the instructions and very time i resrted the Tablet it would stop on the logo i tried chrging all the way nothing happened i tried letting all the battery drain and charged it again it didt work its been 3 or 4 weeks i thought it would go back to normal but no here is the Youtube video please help quicy by the way i dont know that much about comouters, tablets, and phones.

    When you updated it, did it fail to complete or did it work and just not work after restarting?

    Welcome to Android Central! The more details you give about the update process, the better. I assume you manually updated, rather than getting the update over the air. With Samsung devices, you have to be sure that the update that you flash is very specifically for your device, which can be a little confusing, since there are so many Samsung devices out there, and each model often has several variations.

    OP: do you have a Tab 2? Because that model number isn't right for your device.

    Good call, Golfdriver97! The P1000 is the Galaxy Tab, not the Tab 2. They're not interchangeable, so you may have installed the wrong update.

    Something isn't right. The Tab 2 7.0 model number is either GT-P3100 (3G), 3110 (WiFi), or 3113(WiFi with IR Blaster).

    You proper model number should be printed on the back toward the bottom. It is small print, and difficult to see, and may require a flashlight to see it.
