Default Hello! New to Android - Help Needed!

Hi! I split time between UK & Ireland. I've been using iPhone since the original release and I'm now ready to see sense and come over to Android.

My contract with O2 came to an end about a month ago and I have been weighing up my Android options since then. I'm incredibly indecisive.

I have been focusing a lot of my attention on the Galaxy S4 - I had a brief try on my friends handset and it seemed pretty damn good! My problem is that everybody's talking about the S5 and the upcoming announcements and news stories are adding to my stress! I am sort of desperate to get a new handset after all of this decision making. Waiting until March/April may be an issue as frequent use has meant that my iPhone 4S is on its last legs.

I am looking for some help/advice from this fantastic community.

    Thank you!

Welcome to the forums. The Nexus 5 is fairly inexpensive. You could buy that out of pocket, and use your upgrade for the S5. Moto G is pretty cheap too. No 4g though.

I agree with Golfdriver. You can buy something else in the meantime and sort of "test drive" Android. Moto G would be perfect for this, and you'll still get the same speeds as the iPhone. Then when the S5 or One+ come out, you can use the upgrade on that

Hey. Thanks for the suggestions guys. Unfortunately I don't have much in the way of disposable income right now. If I was going to go for an upgrade it would probably be in the next few weeks. Sorry, that's probably my fault for leaving info out of original post I know Android would be a good fit for me, and I'm definitely going to switch to it. It's just a matter of deciding which phone really.

Well there's not going to be any new phones for at least a couple of months, so you'd have to go with one of the current phones since you don't want to wait too long. Any of the phones out right now should easily be able to last 2 years. Sure, the S5 will be better than the S4. But it won't be as big of an upgrade as an S4 would be in comparison to your current iPhone. The Note 3 is also a really good phone if you aren't bothered by the size

Welcome to Android Central! I agree with all of these guys. Have you checked to see how much the Moto G is in your area? It's supposed to be pretty affordable, so hopefully it wouldn't put too big a dent in your wallet.

Welcome! The GS4 is a great phone and you most likely get it cheaper now that the GS5 is coming soon.

    Welcome to Android Central
Do you mean reloading iOS as in putting the iPhone's on your current phone? If so, it's not possible. Sorry

Welcome to the forums. Unfortunately, iOS is incompatible with Android.

Welcome to the forums and, if you're trying to install iOS into an Android phone, I believe that's not possible.
