Hi people!
New here.
On Android since the Google Nexus One came out.
Currently in the last months of my contract with a Samsung Galaxy Note (1) on Android 4.1.2.
I'm happy with the SGN1 except that it lags a bit. The S-pen is great and enables me to do 'serious' work on the device. So it looks like the SGN3 or SGN4 (if I wait a few months) ? which have quadcore or even octocore CPUs ? will be a shoe-in for my next contract.

Welcome to the forums. This year is going to be a big one for all the makes of Android. You might have a hard time trying to decide.

Welcome! The N3 and S4 are good device that I'm sure you'll enjoy. Does the S5 not look appealing to you?

If I am understanding it correctly, he is interested in either the Note 3 or Note 4, not the S4.

Ha! Yeah, you are right. I read that a little too fast and associated the 4 with the S4 - More coffee for me please :).
