Former iPhone and BB user - Captivated by Android
After going through four different iPhones and owning every Blackberry offered by AT&T that didn't have a side scroll wheel, I have finally been captivated by Android. I tried an Aria out for a little bit before settling on the Captivate, I don't know why it took me so long to make the switch. I'm blown away by how much more I can do with the Captivate to make the phone truely mine, and not like every other iOS device out there. The market is fantastic and this forum opens my eyes a little more every day to the error of my ways with past devices. I'm happy to be here and can't way to see what else Android and this site has to offer me

Welcome to the AC forums! I'm a former BB user myself and I don't miss it one bit. Like ragnarokx said, feel free to take advantage of our Captivate forums, there's tons of great information there!

Very awesome, just remember that if you ever get hungry for more and want to take the dive into rooting, Captivate users, like many other android devices have alot of support and options. As far as an intro to learning (if you are interested) I suggest mobiletechvideos.com. That guy goes step by step, and uses a Captivate on top of it. The Captivate is an awesome device, but in my experiance, you can get alot more out of it if your willing to learn a little bit more about android. With any phone these days, eventually there are going to be things that bug you about your device. You got lucky, if you have anything that you need assistance with there are alot of people more than willing to help.
Regardless of what you decide to do, congrats on the new Captivate, have fun, and good luck!

Welcome to the group! I was a long time BlackBerry user as well. The device fit in well with my work method, I didn't think about another platform for replacing it. But after researching Android devices for my wife, I started getting hooked. We both love the change.
