New to the Land of Android and Smartphones

Hello,
I just bought the Motorola Atrix and it is my very first smartphone! My husband opted to get the tried and true Iphone 4 but I was feeling adventerous and decided to be a rebel. I have an iTouch so the Apple products are familiar but the Droids bewilder me! I hope I don;t mess it up! You all here seem to have great ideas on how to optimally run these things so I am looking for guidance and wisdom. For some reason I picked up on very quickly on ordering apps of course but things like saving the battery life or why people hate the Motoblur is a mystery!

Welcome, you made the right choice because the iphone is for nancy boys (jk)

I dont know if your in to rooting your phone using dos commands (if you dont know what I am talking about you have a lot of reading ahead of you)

So in a nut shell (haha "shell" like in the "adb shell")

You root, then coustom recovery, then flash a ROM, then whatever you want lol

I suggest "juice defender" in the market if you want to save battery (rooted or not) motoblur is a hog with no remorse
