I'm a newbie to the Android world. I picked up my Samsung Vibrant from T-Mobile during their "all phones are free" promotion just before Valentine's Day. Got one for me and one for my daughter.
We both love the phone. This is my first smartphone with a data plan. I had a T-Mobile Wing w/o a data plan, then an unlocked Nokia X6 w/o a data plan.
My only complaint about the Vibrant is poor battery life. Otherwise, I love the phone and the Android operating system.
I now have a Windows computer, an Apple iPad, and an Android phone! I can tether my iPad to my phone, no problem. I don't have the 3G iPad, so it's conventient to be able to do this. I don't do it often, as it drains the battery so much, but it's nice and easy when necessary.
I look forward to this forum being a useful source of information.

PS FYI--I'm over 50, but having nice tech makes me feel younger!
