Here is, IMO, the response to Evo and Android phones: 11:41AM "AT&T is going to make an incredibly generous upgrade offer. If your contract expires at any time in 2010, you can upgrade to the iPhone 4. You can get it up to six months early."

the main draw back will continue to be the inability to replace the battery wihtouth ripping the phone apart. The batt life should be better considering they havent really improved speed or display size

A4 chip and speed wasn't really an issue to begin with...
But yeah, I can already see the Iphone 4gen winning over a lot of reviewers on the internet...

It sucks cause they play up Apple devices a lot.
Like when CNet does prizefights... it's dumb.

The droid and iphone were same score. Iphone won cause it won more rounds.
The n1 beat the iphone by .1....
The Incredible beat the n1 by .1...

I can see the Iphone 4 beat the Evo by .1. It's going to be dumb and I hope people don't base their choice off of these Prizefight competitions.
Just a main example of how it's flawed... Iphone's call quality score is different in every battle.

Man if only this were CDMA or ATT had a network, I would not be on this forum with an Inc and a EVO sitting on my desk.....

Bottom line, EVO still reigns supreme IMHO.

Sorry, but the new features that the OS4 will bring out still don't bring it to the same level that Android is at the moment.

I lvoe how CNET was basically wrong in every one of their predictions for the new iPhone. What a joke site. So biased, so ignorant.

So here are my pros and cons based on my impressions of the new iPhone.

Pros:
  • Higher resolution
  • Spiffy antennae
  • Theoretical battery life
  • Backlit camera sensor (still need to see how it will perform)
  • Apps

Cons:
  • AT&T
  • No Flash
  • 3.5" display
  • No removable battery
  • Video chat only over Wi-Fi and phone to phone

That's pretty good.
I still want comparative pictures of both phones side by side. i hope an unbiased reviewer does that.
