Best Keyboard for LG Optimus Black

Dear all forumer,

This is Edmund Chew from Malaysia, I am LG Optimus Black user and I am newbie to here. I wish to enquire the best / similar keyboard apps to Swype. I heard Swype is not compatible with LG Smartphone. I hope you guys can give me some idea on which one should I go for?

I am currently on Gingerbread 2.3.4 and Official ROM by LG (V20e).

One of the best and most widely used apps is SwiftKey X.

It supports many languages including Indonesian!

You can lso download Swype and try it out. If it doesn't work, just uninstall it!

Hi bro The Shag, thank you for fast respond. I thought Swype is incompatible with my LG Optimus Black. Anyway, will try it later. I am a chinese Malaysian, I hope to get a good keyboard which is compatible with my phone. That is the reason why I am asking here.

How do you compare SlideIT vs Swype vs SwiftKeyX?

Is Chinese input available too? =)

I believe all 3 can do some form of Chinese. I have used Swype and SwiftKey X. I haven't used SlideIT. Swype and SlideIT are very similar. You draw your finger from one character to the next, and it guesses what you meant. My favorite is SwiftKey X. You tap the characters like the regular Android keyboard, but it is very smart and learns very well.
