Anyone else out there managing a fleet of these tablets? We rolled out 35 to our service techs and the first things we discovered are the power buttons are held in place by a really cheap spot weld and will break off very easily, and the small tabs in the charge port will crack and the tablet will no longer be able to be charged. The only "good" thing about this is Lenovo is repairing them for free but the turn around time is about 2.5/3 weeks.

Lee,

We pushed them and got replacements on a few. Turnaround was about a week and a half.

I have a post about the escalation process on the Lenovo Slate forums

Thanks. We really haven't had any issues getting them repaired. The first time I called them their attitude was almost "yeah, we know it's a problem". So far I call them, they send me a box to return it, I ship it, we get it back repaired.

It's probably a great device for personal use. I don't think it was designed to be used by service techs.
