Wait for the OTA don't get froyo via LG mobile updater. **Bricked**

Do not get the update through LGs crappy ass program. I just did my girls phone last night, the program bricked her phone. This hasn't only happened to me but to many others already. Check it out Unbrick the LG Ally - Android ForumsI also already tried to use this unbrick method but had no luck just like the other guy on there. Im heading To Verizon today to raise hell!!! And Im also calling LG to tell them their IDIOTS!!!!

I've already tried. It doesn't even boot up it has a downloading...
DO NOT UNPLUG! everytime I turn on

Hmm that is odd I just tried the LG Program to upgrade my Ally to 2.2 since I wasn't getting the OTA and so far the phone is running fine.

This happened to me a few days ago. After pulling the battery, can you force the phone into the programming mode by holding the #5 key and connecting the usb cable? If it powers on to show the program screen, it's far from bricked.

BTW, I did the update via LG's site on the first day and my phone is fine.
