Re: kitkat

It may not be the answer you're looking for, but why not just root your G Pad and let you take control of when you get updates? I rooted mine in the first two weeks and it makes it a whole different animal. I put Mahdi ROM on it, which is KitKat, and it runs flawlessly and has way more customization options. The only thing I miss is the Q Remote. There are also plenty of other ROMs to choose from. So my advice is to run over to the XDA forums, learn how to root your G Pad, and take control. If you can follow simple directions, you can do it.

Re: kitkat

Yes rooting just gives you full access to your device. It you add a different ROM it well depend if the designer added the knock feature to said rom

Re: kitkat

I really do not want to root. I was thinking. . . do android tablets get OS updates like phones do? I would think they do not.
