Lost auto dim on watch face after updating to 5.0.1

I was able to set my "always -on" option to off and it would go into a state where I could still see the hour and minute hand. Once I pressed the button or tapped the screen it would illuminate the screen exposing the entire watch face. This isnt happening since since I updated to 5.0.1 Anyone else notice this?

Have you tried resetting the device after the update?

Yeah. I've reset it twice. Same thing. Does yours self dim ( but not completely off) after installing the latest update.

Don't have a G watch. Just thought the reset night help.

I went ahead and returned it. I was also having issues with the Bluetooth randomly dropping connection. I'm going to hold off on an Android wear based device until the next iteration of the moto 360 comes out.
