i'm on verizon and i think it is called audio zoom.
i haven't figured out how to turn it on yet though...

open the camera app.
switch the slider to video
look for the audio zoom icon it looks like a mic inside of a broken circle. probably has a line through the mic indicating that it is off.

ya - i've found the icon for audio zoom.
what i'm saying is that i can't get it to turn on. it stays grey.
is there some thing you have to do to get it to turn on??
