Default Bluetooth car audio auto connect?

People with car bluetooth and bluetooth adapters hooked up to their aux port for music and hands free, do you guys get connected automatically when turning on the bluetooth on the phone, assuming that your car bluetooth is already on. Or do you have to connect manually each time by going into settings?

I leave Bluetooth on the phone on always. When I turn on car it automatically connects.

If I happen to have it off I just turn it on and car will find it and connect.

Battery is so good on this phone that I just leave everything on that I use instead of playing the " battery save game" toggling WiFi, GPS, BT on and off like I used to with my sg4

yup, mine automatically connects, as well - which is a very pleasant surprise, as it's a BMW and I'd been reading for a year or so that BMW's iDrive system did not play well with Android Bluetooth.

However, I'm finding so far that it only works with the phone, which is pretty much fine with me as that was my primary concern. It downloaded my contacts to the car's system, lets me make calls through the car's mic and speakers, etc. But, I can't seem to get the "infotainment" system to recognize the phone as an Aux input source for music, and neither Voice Mate nor Google Now seem to be accessing the car's mic or speakers. Will continue to work on this.

Thanks all, I got this Bluetooth receiver plugged into my Aux port in my car and with my old GNex, it automatically connected if I turned on my GNex bluetooth while the car/receiver was on... Don't know why I have to manually connect it with this phone. Oh well...

I have the same problem with my LG G2 and my 2011 Subaru WRX. My previous phone, Samsung Galaxy Nexus would connect both audio and phone as soon as I started the car. The G2 will only connect if I manually go into BT setting and tell it to connect to my car. This is very annoying, I'll take any type of solution at this point.

My GNex and my G2 both automatically connect to my Panasonic AVH-P3400BH after market head.

I was having the same issue with it not connecting automatically. I read somewhere to erase all previous phone data from you vehicle. That worked for me, now it automatically connects for me.

That is a good point. I had read this as well, and did tell my car to "forget" my former iPhone.

Found a solution, want to thank 2011_ST in another post Bluetooth Not Auto-Connecting with Car Stereo for pointing me in the right direction. The WRX head unit is very weird. The paired devices it shows you when you use the buttons to see all devices is different from the paired devices it tells you when you use the voice navigation to pair and delete devices. I had to use the voice navigation to delete my last 2 phones, than pair the LG G2. Problem solved, phone connects in the first 10 seconds after car starts.

I have found that if you always leave bluetooth on it will automatically reconnect. However, if you shut bluetooth off and then turn it back on when you are ready to use a bluetooth device you have to manually connect.

Its rather annoying as I don't use bluetooth a lot.

Not using Microsoft Sync it doesn't... Well, the phone connects, but I have to double tap and call for bluetooth audio to get the music playing..

I've been experiencing the same thing. My htc one worked perfectly with car and my htc adaptor. With the G2 Connects to car everytime but not my bluetooth adaptor.

My LG G2 mobile phone connects automatically with my car audio system through Bluetooth, and works fine with telephone calls, but it will not play my stored music in the phone through the audio system. Can you please offer me a solution to this problem?

May be an issue with the Bluetooth system in your car. I have the same issue with my 2008 BMW 3-series. I researched it and discovered that it is because my car's Bluetooth is essentially too old and can't support the connectivity necessary to stream music from my phone (though it is fine with phone calls.) That's a very rudimentary explanation. I knew much more detail back when I was initially researching the issue, but that was some months ago. Unfortunately, I found that there was simply no solution in my case, so I had to move on to find a different solution (i.e., buying a used iPod Classic on eBay for my music, as that integrated flawlessly with my car.)

Sorry I'm a little vague, but hope it helps you narrow things down. If you Google around you should be able to find more detail, as I did last fall. Good luck.
