Get rid of the navbar in dock clock mode

I have the Verizon G2 along with the dock and I use my phone as an alarm clock. I have been using Alarm Clock Plus because I like being able to create playlists to wake up to. The problem I have is that when I dim the screen most of the screen is at the perfect brightness except the navbar. Does anyone know of a way to either make the navbar go away or dim with the rest of the screen in the clock mode? I have also notice that it does this with Daydream as well.
