I was driving last night and I put my G2 in my center console cup holder.
I had maps running and I tapped on the screen to see how far I was, next time I turned my head to see if I was getting close, the screen was dim and recognized my glaze and turned it back on to full brightness.
I thought I got a test message or something, but the next time it did it again, I realized it was turning off the dim back to full brightness nearly every time I looked at the screen, was not even eye level.
To take advantage of this feature, just use your phone normally or just turn off "Auto Off" and make screen timeout longer, so screen dims but does not turn off, and it can go back full brightness when to you look at it and dim again when you look away.
