I personally thought the article was more than clear in what it was and wasn't including, and the reasons for it.

The results also verfiy what all other users have said about the G2 with real world usage

I owned 6 of the top 7 phones on that list and have used them all pretty heavily over the last year and every single one of them surpassed 5 hours. Not one of them really pulled ahead of another in any way that I found notable. Phonearena needs a better web script writer, or an article writer that resists exaggerating with click bait titles. Perhaps both.

It was and they went beyond that in the comments. Some people are just really sensitive when people are praising any phone other than their favorite.

Guys, I can tell you that nothing beats my Moto G. It runs easily 2-3 days and it has "only" 2070mAh battery. It beats my Note2 and Moto X easily....

Please post first a screenshot of battery usage and screen on-time before declaring something like this.

What's the screen on time? I'm guessing not much since mobile standby and phone idle are so high.

Edit-staying on topic, my DROID RAZR Maxx HD got slightly better battery life than my G2 does, however it was rooted and had a larger 3300 battery. I think all that really matters is the G2 has enough battery to make it through the day for even the most intense users.

This is from my Evo LTE. We can all get good battery life if we don't use our phone. Personally I use my device.

This screen shot was done after I bought my One. Was amazed when I picked up my evo and seen it was still powered on lol

The Screen on average is 2 h 40 min. Most I got was 4h 52 min (first day lol) but battery lasted only 1d 11 hours.

That's really not that great, just so you know. This is from my G2:

8 minutes shy of 1 day 15 hours with 6 hours screen on time. Still had an estimated hour and a half of battery left.

I think what stands out for me is how little juice the G2 uses when it is not being used. If you look at the graph, it is a perfectly flat line.

I think that's a common feature for most phones nowadays. Most Sony Xperia phones have a Stamina mode too. Mine and other Lumias have a battery saver feature where I lose about only 1% from the moment I sleep until I wake up.

Yeah you will find that standby is excellent on the G2...

Yep I go to bed at 10 pm wake up at 6 am after full charge either I still have 100% or sometimes 99%

I can live with that☺

I have a feeling this phone can last a few weeks on one charge if only on standby. Obviously no one does that.
