Default LG G2: Post KitKat Issues

KitKat has brought me some issues. I love the even better battery life and device speed, but two specific problems have come up that are irritating me like crazy.
First: Google Music randomly tells me it cannot access the stream.
Secind: Wifi connection is terrible. The problem isn't necessarily a weak connection. If I walk around campus or to my dorm, my phone will notice the network, and try to obtain the IP address for hours unless I cancel the connection and try again.
I did a factory reset right after the update, and I would hate to do it again.
Is anyone else having these issues?

Did you factory reset after updating? If not, try that (backup all your data first) and see if that helps.

Only issue I've had is the SwiftKey error.

I was wondering how much additional space does this update take up? can any one let me know how much it takes.

I would say it takes up less

Some authors confuse memory with storage and use them interchangably, but it seems to suggest that it uses both les RAM and takes up less storage space.

Is that the g-apps error on boot?

I'm not SKF but the g-apps error on reboot is directly related to Swiftkey (or Swiftkey Beta) as the default keyboard. Change the keyboard to any other one and then reboot, and you do not get that error.

Yeah, I had hear this. But besides the error on boot is it really hurting anything?

No one is sure. It all seems to work OK after you clear the error message.

After I realized it was SwiftKey that was causing it, I had wiped my phone again which included other reasons, but I had reinstalled my SwiftKey but not started the app and just kept using the LG Keyboard so that I can get notification from Play Store when an update is available and then try again. Since then I've installed the Google Keyboard and find that better than LG's but still not better as far as predictive typing than the SwiftKey.

There's an app called Changelog droid which you can use for that
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ogviewer&hl=en

Just go to the app in google play that you want notified of updates, select the share button in top right and then select changelog droid

not really dead for me but really compromised. Need to tap it hard like 6-8 times. Now it is easier to press the rear button, than tapping like a fiend

My friend, I kock on that screen as it was Heaven Door. Knock on is full blast dead on my G2. The good of Kit Kat: super battery power, faster internet use, transparent notification bar. The good of 2014; LG G3.

I got it a few days ago. Was figuring out what's wrong with the Knock On. Found out finally that you have to knock in the center of the screen for it to function successfully most of the times unlike earlier when we had to tap right on top of LG icon.
    Performance seems enhanced.
Mine is a Singapore version G2-802. I had to enable LTE from the hidden menu earlier. But now they have brought it to the forefront with this update.
G2 kit Kat has also brought about one major option whose absence in 4.2.2 was baffling. The option to move multiple files across from the gallery.

My knock on issues seems to be improving, and as a note, my GPS locks a lot faster now with Kit Kat

Hi guys. I had an unlocked LG G2 bought from Saudi Arabia and I am running it on the A1 network here in Austria. I just got the update today going from D80210e-AME-XX to D8022a-AME-XX. Everything seems fine except for my mobile network data. Whatever I do, it doesn't seem to pick up on 3G or any other mobile data. I have tried soft and hard resets, nothing.

Any help is much appreciated. I need network data for my everyday living
