Usb otg, d802 - usb memory stick won't work

Hello.

Yesterday I bought a OTG cable. I tried to plug in my Kingston DT101 II 4GB USB stick, and that USB stick animation in the bottom of the screen is shown, but my USB stick isn't detected (I can't find it in Settings -> Memory). However, I tried to plug in my friends generic 4GB USB stick, and it works without problems (my G2 detects it and after that USB stick animation gives me the related app menu, and the stick is shown in Settings -> Memory).
Could it be that some USB sticks just don't work with OTG? Both USB sticks are FAT32 formated.

PS

I should point out that I tried to plug in another Kingstone DT101 II 4GB in my phone, and it acted just like the first one. The animation is shown, but stick isn't recognized, so it must be some issue with that specific model.

what's the format of your USB disk?

It's FAT32, as I have stated in the first post. After the KitKat update, my Kingston USB stick still doesn't work on my LG G2.

After going to Kit Kat, do any usb sticks work OTG without root or a separate app? I'm sure I heard that OTG was deliberately hampered.

you can use usb stick plugin for this purpose you can download from play store.
