No gps issues on 4.2.2. But after kit kat update, GPS difficult to lock on any sat.

I cannot use waze or google maps.

Is there any solution out there?

Same issue here. It seems to work after a reboot, but if I'm turning off locations and then on again, it is not locking. It is extremely frustraiting.

have you uninstalled waze and then tested? I dont have any issues with lock but my guess is you have an app that's causing conflict.

The update to 4.4 went from a specific GPS setting to a "location" option instead.
Love my ingress, but since 4.4, I've had nothing but grief.
Its not a hardware issue, worked great before. It surely has to do with the way 4.4 handles the GPS on the G2.

Dear dobm527 thank you for your suggestion. Yes you are right.
After i uninstalled waze, GPS is locking again. And work well.

It appears that waze is conflicting GPS G2 KitKat.

The GPS is working for me but the reception sucks. Takes a long time to connect and need to be outside in the open. My Blackberry kicks its **** in this respect. I can get a signal on the train or in my house.

One of the first things I checked when I upgraded from JB to KK was how quickly (or not!) the GPS would lock on to satellites. Granted, I was indoors at work when I tested but the satellites used to lock on quickly under these same circumstances.

I was dismayed to find, while using GPS Test+ and GPS Status (my two apps of choice for checking GPS stuff) that the GPS either failed to lock on or took a very long time to lock on. I was regretting upgrading to KK.

HOWEVER, whenever I used either the Google Maps application or Co-Pilot Live (my actual, 'real' navigation apps), the GPS locked on quickly and accurately. True, the GPS doesn't lock on inside elevators in office buildings but whenever I have needed to use my navigation apps, the G2 locked on quickly and accurately; I couldn't ask for more (yet my OCD had kicked in, lol).
