camera freezes phone

Suddenly today whenever I open my camera it freezes the phone up. Only thing I've changed recently is going to Nova, any advice?

If you go back to the stock launcher, does the problem go away? If so, stay away from Nova. Or maybe try Apex Launcher.

Still locking up completely when I open the camera, only had this phone for two weeks too

What happens if you reboot?

Also, have you disabled a lot of apps? It could be that one of the disabled apps is needed for proper camera function.

I had disabled a few, reenabled all of them, reset, still freezing. I don't wanna do a factory reset but will as a last resort

And you tried rebooting, right?

Maybe try going to Settings>Apps>All​, selecting Camera, and clearing cache and clearing data. Then Force Stop, and then open it again. Probably won't do anything, but worth a try.

Just got home from work and it's working, no clue why

I wonder if it could have been related to something like Google Play Services being updated (although that wouldn't last very long).

Joey - Did you ever solve this problem? I'm getting exactly the same.
