Default G2 rooted using a Mac?

I just got a G2. It needs to be rooted. All I have is a MacBook running mavericks. Has anyone successfully rooted using a Mac? Please point me in the right direction.

To be honest I've never rooted a phone in Mac, I have a boot camp partition for things like that. Maybe you could try that or running virtualization software and running Windows from it... Sorry

Oh no worries. I'll have to try and get a pc laptop. I sold mine to buy my wife a MacBook. I had a feeling this would happen.
