Pop up ads

So a few days ago I started getting these pop up advertisements on my phone. They come up randomly several times a day, they take up about a third of the screen and when I select to close them they "minimize" to my notification bar. From there I cannot swipe it away I have to open it and close it. Is anyone else experiencing this? Also the ads pop up regardless of what app I am in. I need some tips on how to get rid of this. It's driving me nuts! Thanks in advance

What new apps have you downloaded in the past few days?

Install Addons Detector it should be able to tell you what is giving you push ads.

What happens if you swipe the notification shade down--do you see the ad in the notifications? Try long-pressing one, and see if you can get the App Info. If there is an app associated, uninstall it.
