WiFi Hotspot question.

I moved to new apartment and I will not have Internet for 7 days. As I have plan that is giving me 2gb of free internet I decided to make HOTSPOT for me and my wife. I created it, with password, and in a day of very small usage, it spent 1,95gb of my data plan, before warning came.
What's up with this? Does Hotspot waste data only by beeing on?

Go into Settings->Mobile Data, this will tell you what applications have used data. If you limit it based on when you turned on the Hotspot you should easily be able to determine what application used all that data.

No but a PC can go through multiple Gbs per day with just one webpage open with a video ad running on it.

On mobile data settings it says that wifi Hotspot spent 94% of data in 4h
