Just got this phone yesterday and I can't even come close to making it a full day on charge. I do go 100% brightness but I went from 100 percent to like 26 in 8 hours with a little over an hour on screen time. I did a factory reset.. Anyone??

It takes a new phone several days to get into the groove.
If it still does it after a week, exchange it.

OP, you must have an app that consistently running. I know 100% brightness on this QHD screen will eat a battery for lunch though....

After a couple days my battery settled in and only uses 44% of the battery. I have screen set at Automatic and 33%. But now it shows that the Android OS is using significantly more battery. Was around 17% and now it's in 40% range. What could that be?

So what do I do??

Go to About Phone under "Settings" and go into the Software Information.
Tap on "Build Number" 7-10 times which will activate Developer Options.
Once in Developer Options, scroll to Select Runtime and hit "Use ART."
Your phone then will re-start and update all of your apps.
It will take about 10 minutes or so do that.
Then enjoy.

If you don't like it, go back in and hit "Use Dalvik" to put it back.
