Bluetooth Audio

Anyone have issues connect to Bluetooth audio in their car? I can get the phone hooked up to the phone but I can't get it connected as a media player.

What kind of car do you have and what year is it? Some cars have issues connecting via Bluetooth, because the car is in need of a software upgrade.

It's a 2014 Nissan Maxima. Nexus 5 used to work fine on it.

I didn't have a problem connecting to my car audio. Check your car's owners manual.

With the G3 on 4.4.2, I would REALLY like to find a mod to pass the song metadata to my car audio player. I'm rooted. Any hints or directions in that area would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Did you make sure "use for media audio" was checked in the Bluetooth settings?

No probs with mine connecting with the aftermarket Pioneer head unit in my car.

I have paired the G3 with many makes and models and no issues with BT audio. I work at a car dealership.

I got it last night. There was a sub-menu in the car stereo. So now I have nothing negative against the G3!

That worked - thank you! But it is a little cumbersome to either keep it running constantly in the background or to hook it up to Tasker or NFC or something. I'm really looking for the file to edit to just fix it permanently.

I use mine with my '13 Chevy Cruze. Audio, controls, and metadata all work fine. The OS is Windows Vista based. I'm not sure if that is the reason.

When my wife had a G3, it connected in our cars, just not automatically. We had to always go in the Bluetooth settings and click. With a different device the Bluetooth would connect automatically soon after we got in the car.
But once we got the Bluetooth connected it was error free.
