Icons arrangement on home screen

Hi folks,
Had my G3 for a couple of days and delighted so far. I immediately put the Google Launcher on the phone and have now realised that I may be missing a couple of features from the standard launcher. Question - How do I arrange the number of icons on the first row of the home screen (above the back/home/running apps button?)
I can only get 2 apps plus the app drawer launcher, but I've seen photos showing 4 apps plus app drawer launcher

I assume you're talking about the Favorites Tray. You should be able to place two app shortcuts or folders on either side of the App Drawer. If you only have two, is it one on either side? You should be able to drag and drop a shortcut or folder to an empty spot of the Favorites Tray.
