    Default importing from previous android

    Hi
just got the new G3, which is nice, but after years of using ny SGS2, i would like to have my SMS and whatsapp history back.
so, i backed up the SMS to my gnail using backupSMS+, and copied the Whatsapp folder to my PC, but the G3 wouldn't accesspt them.
The SMS+ restore is working OK, but when i start the sms app i see my entire history for 1/2 a second and it's disappearing.
The whatsapp on the contrary, doesn't show any history (only groups).

    Any ideas?

    many thanks, in advance.

I have exactly the same thing happening as the OP. Did someone come up with an answer?

Have tried several backup apps with no success. Trying to migrate messages from G2 to G3.

Tried a few different apps to restore my SMS messages. "SMS Backup & Restore" app finally worked for me. From what I recall, KitKat requires that the app be made as your primary SMS app for the restore to work. Once restored, you can revert back to your default SMS app.

After a restore, the messaging app usually needs a reset... Or boot the phone
