Why doesn't touch work near the top part of my LG G3?

Why dont the touch work near the "top" part of the phone? Lg G3

I cannot drag from top and down to get status area. No touch work in the top part of the screen when holding it in portrait mode. Wide mode the left part do not work as touch. Driving me crazy.....

Could be a defective device. I have never had an issue with this and I use Nova Launcher so I have to tap the notification area all the time to lock the screen. Sounds like a hardware issue to me...

Find it hard to believe that only the top most part of the screen should loose it's ability to be touchable ...
About to do a reset-to-fabric-installation....

I had a bodyguardz glass protector on and as it turns out it was really messing up the touch responsiveness of the screen. I took it off and the problems completely went away.

The LG g2 had a similar issue. I had one for a while, and I traded it in for a nexus once my screen started doing exactly what you're describing. A master reset won't help. Get a warranty exch.
