It could have been a themed keyboard, not the actual L keyboard. Have you checked the Play Store for a themed version?

Yeah I like the material one but the white for me is very nice. Which marble you trying? Can I install a few colours at once?

Shafta-L-MarbleTeal is the one I am using. I think you'll switch to it. ;)

You have to uninstall the old one and restart the phone before installing another. Kind of a pain.

You're welcome. I am personally trying out the one you have except "Marble" because the letters on the keys are not as dark. I think it looks better with the marble.

Google keyboard is a system app on the G3. These dont work if you aren't rooted.

Google keyboard is not a system app on g3. I had to download it and it doesn't have to be rooted as I have never rooted my phone

I'm in UK on an unlocked g3. The keyboards are just apk files you install

I still prefer the Holo White theme. :) My issue with the GKB was that it had some issues with prediction and such... new version is MUCH improved. It's a dedicated number bar away from being ideal (for me).
