Performance and stability of custom roms

My LG G3 D850 has a lot of lag and I can't figure out why. So I am urgently awaiting the custom roms. Performance and stability is the most important to me. Extra features are nice but certainly not a priority. To those of you who have used custom roms before, what one do you think fits my wants the best?

Well, depends on the phone, and without running them on my G3, it's hard to say. But I had a Nexus 5 and most were quite stable... I stuck to most if the more known builds.

The smaller ones tended to just be off shoots with every feature the owner could pull down to his build box. And they were buggy as all hell.

But to name any... Slimrom, Omnirom, Mahdi, Dirty Unicorns.. DU was my daily driver on my nexus 5... Rock solid.

But that all gets thrown out the window since the G3 will be an entirely different build. A stable ROM on one phone might be a crashy mess on another. Once fully working builds are released, we'll know more.
