Vibration notification question

There are multiple settings for different types of vibration but there doesn't appear to be a way to assign different vibrations to different applications. Is there a way to do this through the phone itself. For example I want my text vibration to be different than the rest of the phone vibrations. Any thoughts?

Not through the stock settings. You can download a 3rd party app to control notifications like LightFlow to achieve this. Also, some apps have these options built in. Whatsapp, for instance, lets you choose the LED color and vibration pattern for both individual chats and group chats, even different ringtones. Plume, on the other hand, only lets you customize your LED color and ringtone, but not the vibration pattern.
