Why is/are my LG G3's music player(s) so problematic?

Hi. When using the G3 as a music player, I can't work out how to remove the music app/widget from the lock screen. With it enabled, it causes the music to start and stop involuntarily while the phone is in my pocket. This seems to be something which should be obvious enough to correct but I can't work out how. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks
