Screen keeps coming on

I have a wireless charging car kit installed in my car, that works really well, however, since the 5.0 update the screen keeps coming on, when the once has reached 100% charge

This did not happen on 4.4.2 at all. The screen stays off whilst charging, as you would expect, but once it has reached full charge, the screen flashes on. I turn it off, but 20 secs later the screen flashes on again. I keep locking, but again back on. The only way to resolve, is to unplug the charger, which I really don't want to do

Anybody have any ideas?

I'm having the exact same problem with my new LG G3.
I didn't have any issues before the Android 5.0 update, but now it's constantly lighting up when using the official wireless charging dock.

Noticed mine doing this last night with quick circle case on. Think it only happens for me if there is a notification.

Do you use quick circle apps by any chance? There was a recent update that automatically shows notifications. I tried the last couple of days with that new option on but sometimes I would pull my phone out of my pocket and it would be warm with the screen on. I also thought I noticed faster battery consumption but it's hard to know for sure. The problems seemed to resolve after I unchecked the option to display notifications automatically.

BUMP:

Any ideas on how to fix this annoying bug?

Nope, not yet ... it is still the same, and really annoying. I have to unplug my charger in the car, once it is full ... otherwise it just keeps lighting up

I've noticed that this issue, for me at least, has gone away with the latest patch (Android Lollipop 5.0.2) and my phone can be left on the wireless charger without it constantly recharging and activating the screen/getting hot.

I can also confirm that the phone seems to stop charging when full capacity of the battery is reached and that it does not notify that it is charging again when picked up and placed back onto the wireless charger whilst still at full charge.

Regards.

Yep, updated to the latest release yesterday (v10h), and the screen issue coming on seems to have gone. Also battery life seems to be much improved. Well done LG for keep fixing some of the issues
