screen dimming

i know its probably something stupid...

when i unlock my phone and use it the screen dims ever so slightly without me doing anything.
even if i have put the phone down it dims while its sitting there... its not on auto etc either... i don't know what i have pressed but i can't get rid of it and it drives me absolutely crazy!

any help is appreciated!

Same here on Verizon G3. I haven't figured anything out, except to try to ignore it.

Download Lux from the play store to manage your brightness. Not only do you have complete control over how it dims and how much it dims, but it will save you battery life guaranteed. A free version is available.

Lux seems like a nice app, but it didn't solve this issue.

I use lux lite and have it set to 60% . It doesn't change an any lighting condition. What did you set it to? There are a half dozen options but you want it on "Adjust Manually"

I set it for adjust manually, and set for 100 percent. If you wake the screen directly to something with a lot of white, like Gmail, you can see it dim a bit after a second or two post waking.

Odd. No offense for asking, but did you also turn off the stock system auto brightness as well?

Yes. System autobrightness was off.
