screen discolouration (yellow ring)

For the second time in 6 months my g3 now has a yellow half circle on the upper right if the screen.

Last time lg repaired. I can't help thinking its to do with the device getting hot.

Anyone else have this??

I still struggle with battery time and the odd time when the phone goes sluggish.


It's a d855 running 5.0. Am sure a later version of android will fix these things but I cannot root due to it being a work mobile.

I believe that the processor is under there on the G3.
I also have a vague half-memory of having given the same answer before....apologies if so.
Are you doing very processor-intensive stuff, that might lead to overheating?

Thanks for the response. Only game I play is clash of clans (once every day or so for 15 mins) Else its email, calls, tune in radio, and social media etc.

Still had the same imei number so just screen and new battery (as I complained about screen on time)

When it went in last time I did tell them it was also sluggish at times and it got warm. Would have hoped they had checked the processor. Will send it back to them.
