Why is my LG G3 touch screen being unresponsive?

I've had my LG G3 for about a year and a half now. It hasn't absorbed any shock damage or water damage. There are no cracks or scratches on it, but the other day the screen would randomly just not respond to touch. I already attempted to do a factory reset, but it did not make a difference. I am still receiving texts and the screen can light up, but I cannot touch anything; it won't respond. Is this happening to anyone else? What should I do?

Welcome to Android Central! Try booting into Safe Mode as well: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-11934. If it still happens, then the touchscreen digitizer has likely failed. Unfortunately, the warranty has expired, so unless you have insurance, you'd have to bring it to a repair shop for replacement.
