Hope someone can offer some advice on an issue I have.

Just had a new Kenwood X7000DAB car stereo fitted, and am trying to sync it via Bluetooth with my G3. I am able to pair the 2 devices and can stream audio and make calls, but am not able to view call history or contacts via the car stereo (it shows no data).

I have ensured the contacts are on the SIM and phone (incase that makes a difference), and have tried resyncing a number of times without success.

As a test i tried the wifes Nexus 4 and this works fine.

Any thoughts please?

Thanks in advance

Go to Settings>Bluetooth, and select the car stereo. Is there an option there for Contact Sharing?

thx for the reply.

When i go to settings > bluetooth there are 3 tick boxes selected for "call audio", "media audio" and "contacts and call logs". So i think iot is set to be allowed.

Forget the car stereo again in your Bluetooth settings, then go through the process of pairing again. Watch closely to see if a dialog appears on the phone screen asking your permission to share contacts.
