Currently my son has my old LG G3. Seems to running just fine, but he doesn't really do a lot with it. I am getting myself a LG V20, and Verizon has a deal to get the LG Stylo 2 V for a big discount as a 2nd phone.

Would this be an upgrade:

i have both and you'd be amazed just how much faster the stylo 2 plus is over the v20. performance wise, i say the stylo 2 plus, but, it also lacks all the features the v20 has. such as the screen quality, although kinda dull its clearer in the v20, the camera stabilization, etc. if they made the screen better in the stylo 2 plus it would've been a really good phone. The t-mobile variant is bootloader unlocked so its easier to root and the AOKP rom is awesome for that phone. But to answer your question, NO, the stylo isnt an upgrade over the v20
