Can't turn off Call Waiting

I have two LG G3, one with Marsmallow 6.0 and the other with 5

When I go into call settings it's is possbile to choose call waiting or not. I manage to turn on call waiting but it's impossible to turn off again. I have also tried #43# to turn it off in this country but the error code is unexpected response from network or unvailable MMI-code.

It's a bit strange this function is out of order in both phones and I have tried hard reset without luck.

Is this a know problem with G3?

Call the network provider and they will do it for you.

They said they couldn't - but I thought so too.

After switching sim and different phone it seems like it's the sim-card or a provider problem and not the phone after all. The service provider still claim it's the phone but agreed to send a new sim card after discussion. I'm hoping the problem will be solved.

Ultimately, even if you set that from the device, all you're really doing is sending a message /instruction to the network to do this. The call is intercepted at network server and dealt with at that level. Sounds like they are fobbing you off there mate!
