A possible cause of this could be a power saving feature.
Booting your phone into safe-mode will disable any third party apps.

How to boot into safe mode (LG G3:

Restart in Safe Mode - LG G3

Safe Mode puts your phone in a diagnostic state (returned to default settings) so you can determine if a third-party app is causing your device to freeze, reset or run slow.

An alternate method is available if the device is unresponsive or won't powered on.

Press and hold the Power button (located on the back) until Phone options is displayed then release.
Touch and hold Power off until Restart in safe mode is displayed.
From the Reboot to safe mode prompt, tap Turn on safe mode.
Note This restart process may take up to one minute to complete.
Note Upon restart, Safe mode appears in the lower left of the unlock/home screen.

Issue does not Occur:
Once in safe mode if the problem does not occur it means there is an app that can be causing this issue.reboot the device and try locate and uninstall the power saving app.The problem should no longer occur.
