Android Wear issues with the LG G4 (Verizon)

Anyone else having issues with their Android Wear watches and their LG G4? Both my G Watch R and my Urbane are having the same problem recently...they receive notifications and can respond to them, but when trying to initiate a text from the watch, I get a "didn't catch that" message. The watch will hear the command, and correctly translate the command, but won't send it. Just the "didn't catch that" error message. I've tried restarts and even a factory reset on the watches, but no luck. Can't say for sure, but this may have started with the recent Verizon update to my G4. Any thoughts? Thanks
