All right so part of this post is to vent and the other is to seek advice from all of you on what to do next:

The facts:
-Bought my G4 at Best Buy in June (BB exclusive blue version-VZW)
Build is a May 2015, H/W rev. 1.0 with the SN starting at 505
-Never rooted device (so no issues on warranty end there)
-Suddenly started bootlooping..and then not boot at all anymore about 3 weeks ago.
-Contacted VZW and they said to go through LG
-Created service order with LG and sent it in for repair - spending 7 bucks on a special phone box to ensure it would get there safe and sound
-Spent about 2 weeks waiting for phone to be repaired and finally got it back today - repair was covered under warranty and says they replaced the flash memory.
-Try to boot phone, gets to the optimizing apps again..completely shuts down again..only to never come back on again. A battery pull does the exact same thing as before: show LG logo for a sec..complete shut down. I tried 2 different batteries that are fully charged.

I am seriously ticked off. I really don't feel like sending the phone in AGAIN..waiting (and spending another 7 bucks on a special box for that matter).
Considering everything I read I feel I am entitled to a brand new replacement with a non HW v1.0 device - yet VZW does not seem to acknowledge this as a problem (and would only send a refurb that is not the blue I color I chose - nor can they assure it is a new hw rev) and LG...well..I don't exactly trust their repair skills now. Two major thumbs down.

If I didn't have doubts about LG before after going through several G2s due to GPS chip issues, I've certainly reached that stage now.

What shall I do? :-X

I don't know what you should do, dealing with a giant corporate entity can be exasperating at best. I would certainly be outraged however. Shipping off refurbs is just a cost saving effort at the expense of the customer. Makes me question if I'll get another LG product if the resolution to this growing issue is poorly handled.

Go back to best buy and ask for a replacement. If denied, ask for a manager. Worked for me on an LG TV that was 1 month out of warranty.
