G4 locked up for first time

I was able to pull the battery and revive it.
I know that you can reset a phone that doesn't have a removable battery (supposedly) but
I am grateful that I have a removable battery on my G4.

Most phones will reboot even if locked up if you just hold the power button down for an extended period (~15 secs or so).

What were you doing when it locked up? Could be a misbehaving app, or (less likely) a hardware problem.

My G5 locked up today. I've had various smartphones since 2007 and I've never had one lock up like this. I was unable to perform a hard reset, the screen just stayed backlight with nothing on it. Luckily I was able to pull the battery. I sold my iPhone 6S and bought a G5 along with the Urbane 2 smartwatch which is also having a lot of problems. Can't say I'm impressed in any way with LG so far.
