Lg G5 - Otterbox Defender or Commuter

So I'm getting a G5 soon and I course need to protect my investment. Although I was fine for about a year with my last phone with a $10 clear case, I was heartbroken when I dropped my phone for the hundredth time to find it cracked.

So obviously I going to Otterbox for my new phone mostly as a preventative because I am going to keep my phone for at least a year and a half. Although I need to choose between the commuter and defender series (I am not going to symmetry because of the colors and the lack of a cutout for the microphone).

The case must not obstruct the wide-angle. Thats what g5 is known for,its wide angle. So for me,its a must that the case must not obstruct wide angle lens...
But, if you want protection, ottrrbox is the way.

For me the Commuter series case was the way to go. It's not as bulky as the Defender series, yet still offers good protection and slides into my pants pocket without a problem. I have no issue with the Commuter case obstructing the wide angle camera lens.

I have really been looking into the commuter series, but the only thing stopping me is the lack of a holster. Although, I can use a tempered glass screen protector with the commuter.
Really the only drops are from 4 feet onto concrete and hardwood, so the commuter might fit me better.
Is the holster worth the extra bulk but added protection?
