Will Qualcomm likely give in to Sony's LDAC?

With talk that Sony's new LDAC codec for HD Bluetooth will come with Android 0 when ever it is released, is it likely that LG/Qualcomm will allow the update to supersede it's relatively new ATPX codec?
I have the dilemma with owning an LG G5 with APTX and I am in the market for a new home entertainment system and do not know whether to buy APTX compatible speakers now or wait to see if the LG G5 will get both the Android 0 update AND LDAC along with it. Personally, I cant see Qualcomm being happy at being overshadowed by Sony. Anyone out there in the know????

Android O will support aptX, aptX HD, and LDAC:

aptX is widely used and some manufacturers are already starting to sell aptX HD products:

I don't expect LDAC to gain popularity outside of Sony.
