G5 SE hissing every so often when listening to music

Ok, so I just got my g5 se from EE and I noticed when I use headphones that listening to music I get an extremely noticeable hissing/static every so often. However, if I were to start something like the hifi music file that came with the phone it'd stop. Ive looked for an answer but most problems with hissing/static seem to be with cars. Is there anything that I can do to stop it, or is it a fault with the phone and should I get it replaced?

Welcome to Android Central! This only happens with headphones, and not when you're playing the same music files through the phone's main speaker, or via Bluetooth speakers or headphones?

It only happens with headphones, however, its not just music. It happens when playing all audio, it also happens when there's nothing playing. Ive tried three pairs of headphones all with the same problem.

It might be a bad headphone jack. Since you just got the phone, bring it back to EE and ask for an exchange.
