SnapChat App on G6

Anyone else notice there is a delay when opening the app. Also when it does open it's kinda jank. Sometimes it's perfect. But most it's weird. Am I the only one?

I don't think you are alone. The app optimization for the Android version of Snapchat is not nearly as good as the iOS version for example. Before everyone flames me, i'm not suggesting one platform is better than the other. I just know performance with this particular app is finicky at best. Don't let this app fool you, you have selected a wonderful Android flagship. There are some basic things you could try to improve the performance of this app though:

1. Clear the cache on Snapchat. Settings > apps > Snapchat > storage > clear cache
2. Test Snapchat with limited background apps running. See if the optimization is better running as as standalone app with nothing in the background. Its a shame, but it some to require more dedicated resources.

It's a shame, but android devs must support hundreds of devices which is why some apps have a tendency to run a bit clunky/variance in performance.
